Oh man I caught a bit of Ted Nugent’s rants today and can’t help but think I would like to sit down and have a cup o coffee with him sometime and just shoot the breeze…..lol…..it would be quite colorful!!!

He has a great website that I am sure my brother frequents often with his hunter buddies!!!
All of my house and out of town guests are gone and for a few days while my DH was out of town on Business it was just me and the girls..So my friend Mich came over and we went to scout out Herndons down town district for this weekends paint out competition!!! We have a lovely little lunch and took a few more photos before heading home. Later that evening she came back by to pick me up for a watercolor class she was teaching and talked me into taking part in. So here are the results….

Let me know what you all think? This was done with both a wet on wet techniuque as well as a dry on wet….very interesting!!!!
Here is one of the latest things I did for my best friend….

It is a Baby Carrier…and yes it is made from scratch!!! She picked out the fabric and thread colors and I added some Minky as well….the Dogs found it to be quite comfy as well!!!! LOL
Awe…I miss my Creative Crystal!!!!

Here is a pic of my cutie pie and my DH in the old Baby Carrier….

How cute are they????!!!! I mean come on now!!!!

Ok well back to the studio for me!!!!
Muah!!!!

Meet Mr. Bear….I will be embelishing him with beads, thread, and maybe even ribbon!!!! Much Fun!!!

This is a Triptic I started last year and had to walk away from for a while due to artist block. I really was at a loss as to where it was headed…
My friend Rob came by to visit me and he asked me to dust off a few of my creations for a good old fashioned Artist Critique!!! So over a cup of coffee we ended up discussing this Triptic. “I see fish.” he said to me…..”Fish??? Really???!!!!” I exclaimed….
So after much thought and meditation on the matter I started to see the fish swimming deep within the depths of the cosmic space I had painted last year… and so late last night before I headed to bed, I sat down and sketched out what I seen in meditative state…..
So now I have the outlines of my Triptic that I shall call “Fish In Space”!!!
Let me know what you all think!!!
Cheers!!!

Ok so here is my latest!!! It just kinda came to me last night when I got an excited call from one of my friends saying “Aliens!!! Selina they spotted UFO’s over Tx!!!” She is a big fan as am I of “Dr. Who”…as well as “Torchwood”…it would not have anything to do with the fact that the “Dr”. and “Caption Jack” are totally HOT….Nooooooooo……lol….it’s ok…. Shane puts up with it all in good fun every time my friend calls me after an episode to discuss the kisses…the passions…oh yeah and the Aliens!!! So it got me to thinking…what would they look like??? These Et’s scoping out Tx & Az????
So I came up with this Guy!!!! He is made from recycled fabric, yarn, felt, and yes… yes… lots of love!!!

She seems to be getting along with the Turtle just fine….they have a lot to talk about!!!!
Could not help but have this tune stuck in my head these last few days as I worked on one of my latest projects…..a lovely wedding dress that I am hand beading for a client of mine….very fun….here are a few pics of the beginnings of this project! I am using Swarovski Pearls and Crystals….

You know I just had to add my “Butterfly” signature by using the Swarovski Crystal Butterflies in this project!!! I am going to use them along the neckline to add radiance to the brides face!!!
As for the other sewing project I have going….my “Pucker Pups” from clean recycled material in honor of Earth Day….as well as my turtle…..well here they have grown into a full litter I would say!!!

Each one has their own personality!!!!

I still have to add noses to some as well as other little details…..

I put a lot of love into these little guys!!! I went back and made some improvements on the first one I made…knowing me the perfectionist!!! I added more material, and worked with each one to make it unique!!! These guys are fun to make and so cool to see how each one turns out!!!

Loves the Turtle….I made my own fabric for him!!! I worked it out on my embroidery machine!!! I then cut out each panel out of the different fabric swatches that I made…..fun stuff!!!
I am going to have these guys available at the Earth Day show this weekend!!! They will be on Sale, the Pucker Pups for $20- $25 each with proceeds going the Mazzy Kaya Foundation!!! So come on out and adopt yours this weekend…if you can’t make it I will have them up for sale on Art Buy Us as well as Etsy!!!

FAIR TRADE STORE NAMING CONTEST!
We need your help naming our online Fair Trade store where we will sell
items made by women’s weaving cooperatives in Chiapas, Mexico. We would like
to leave the name open to the possibility of selling items from other
cooperatives in other parts of the world in
the future. Although we will be incorporating items made by men and children
as well, a main focus of our store will be helping women artisans who work
cooperatively find international fair trade markets for their goods.
The store name should communicate the belief that “people, plants, animals,
Earth and other spiritual beings must cooperate with each other to keep the
world in balance and in flower.”
We also want to convey ideas of:
solidarity
women united
working cooperatively
defying borders
global solidarity
